I was about to bias my SRRI, and i measured 517V on Pin 3 of the 6L6GC sockets.

Isnt that just a tad high? Everywhere i look on "bias recommendations" it always goes from 420v~ to 475v~.

There's absolutely no wrong with the amp. It plays fine, and i play it at 6-7.
Amp got the stock rectifier and power tubes. Rectifier i believe is a 5AR4, labeled Fender Full-wave rectifier..

Your 6L6 are biased very cold that is why you have higher voltage .
Schematic I have said 433 VDC . This is a average .

Cold bias = 6L6 tubes are idle low = plate voltage high

Hot bias = 6L6 tubes are idle "high " = lower plate voltage .

Originals 6L6 or new ones ?

You meter ar OK ? What is your wall outlet voltage ?

If all ok , check you bias ,it may be ( too ) cold , most Fender amp play well with cold bias ( 50 % ) .

But too cold is not better , amp may sound thin .

Bias reading will tell .
