Dear Sir:

I am a beginner lap steel guitar player. My father passed away in 2011 and left me a Artitisian lap steel guitar and a fender Champion 300 amp. I have been teaching myself to play it. I am now playing in our church. Last Sunday while playing the amp made several popping sounds as I was playing. What may have caused this and how do I repair it.

thanks

It is a solid state amp , nothing you can do yourself .

Check the wire between guitar and amp , any effect pedals plug in amp or other ?

More information may help .

Put the amp "ON" . no guitar plug , nothing , do you hear pop , wait ...wait . Tune all pot , any noise ?

Pop/ noise = amp need to see tech , no pop it is not the amp check guitare , wire ....
