Hello everyone.
Help needed here.
I'm about to rewire my super sonic Twin power amplifier. I bougth it from the US and has just arrived in france today. Wood has suffered in the delivery but I hope tubes and electronics are ok. For a definitive usage in France I prefer to have it working directely with our voltage here wich is 230v.
The schematics are quite helpfull and the no soldering solution offered by the building is quite remarquable.
But in the schematics they refer to a piece called F-U-S-E with different specification. I know what a F-U-S-E is but the problem is i don't want to use this word because of the Fender fuse program wich makes it hard to me to find my info. I just need (after having rewired) to replace my old (quite new indeed) f-u-s-e from the us by a new one for work in europe. So anyone from france, rest of europe, UK Australia could help.
The schematics reads: US : F200 F8A
and : Europe and other guys : F200 F4A
On my part I can see AGC BUSS 8A on one side and 250 Volt on the other side. I tried close ups photos to illustrate but quality was not at the rendez-vous.
On the fender parts site, I found only one fuse wich is rated 10 A. (http://www.fender.com/amplifier-parts/amplifier-controls-and-electronics/10a-fuse/)
I found other adresses specifically in the US that sell f-u-s-es for fender guitar amplifier:but they just have to much choice especially for old amps mostly in the us or they don't put the precision :? . And the fact is that I'm not able to link whats writen in the fender amp schematics and whats written on the part itself (although everything else seems clear)
Thanks for reading. That's all.

In Europe you use 240 volts wall outlet , in North America , 120 volts . More voltage = smaller fuse power ; 240 volts =4 amp fuse, 120 volts= 8 amp fuse .

You must do wiring for 240 volts and use a 4 amperes fuse ( forget the Fender F-U-S-E program  )

If you speak french too post on International forum , French

Right fuse is available in any good electronic store .You don't have some in France ?

What it is a "smoke test " ? If amp do not blow it is ok ?

Yes in english, a smoke test it a test to see if there is a proper response of the device at first start.
For now the sound is what I expected exept now I need enough room to perform.
I'm not performing at all, rather trying to learn but every thing with this amp sounds like a performance.
Note I haven't yet put all the screws back.
It's very solid I was particularly impressed by the resistance of the tweed before the loud speakers.
The rewiring was so straight exept this fear haunting me.
Very good experience for a begining.

crispy crunchy or fat strong sound both on clean and burn channels
sure some still would like to have more than one hundred square meters to practice but you still have a very good melodic sound enjoy nice altered chord resonnance and so on.
