Hi, I can press drive and the light comes on but it sounds the same as the clean channel. No overdrive, i can also press on the more drive also and it seems to kick in but I just get the hiss not really the overdrive.

Volume and EQ work so it seems to be engaging the channel just no overdrive. Amp is about 10 years old, no other issues.

Any Ideas?

Thanks, Paul.

Hi Paul,

Are you referring to the Frontman 212r? If so, the prognosis is not good. The amp is discontinued and no parts to be had.

+1

Be thankful for the ten good years -- that's about twice that chassis's useful service life.

I would start by checking the overdrive ICs which are op amps. they should have -/+16 pin 4 and 8. If you don't know what your doing then take it to a tech
