Does anyone know how to get a Frontman 25R schematic that covers the later models with the auxiliary input RCA connectors? Specifically, there is a Q5 transistor by the amp chip that is not addressed in the available schematic and layout. Being an old electronics freak, it has become my mission to fix this one, since I am the one that let the smoke out.

Now that I’m old and retired, I have dug out my 1970 Super Reverb (almost mint with smoke stained grille), an old (12 years) Strat, a 12 string Cozart (heavily reworked), an acoustic Epiphone (50 years old) and several other Strat types that I have luthiered to within an inch of their lives. I straighten and level the necks, tweak the nuts and wind up with some amazing guitars. A $42 E-bay Washburn Lyon has a neck thickness at the first fret of .790” and is one of the best players I have ever played.

I am a customizing freak. I have a couple of working 25Rs that I have put into separate heads and built speaker cabs for them, a 15G that I added reverb to and put it in a cab with a 10” speaker, that is for the RV on club outings. I also put a 15R into a separate head. I’ve built a couple of 1x12 cabs identical to the Super Champ cabs and am working on a 2x10 unit. A Yamaha 88 key DG505, a couple of Zoom 8 and 4 track portable studios round out the man cave.

Is there anyone that will take pity on a newbie here and help me salvage my self-esteem?

Hi Cololeo,

Your best bet might be to contact fender consumer relations with all of the details of your request. They might be able to send you a PDF copy of the schematics.
