Don't know how/why that happened but sorry it did. Good luck with your amp.

Thanks to all for your advice and help. By the way, I'm totally lucid, drug free, alcohol free, and might be considered a nerd in some circles. Thanks to the veteran for your service to this country. I gotta be honest, I've never been profiled by a simple question. I'll be more careful next time. Good Day!

JOC... what about V5 and V6? Just for my info.

Thanks! :D

After further digging, I found that when I wiggle or touch the 2 rca cables coming from the amp to the reverb tank, it's sets off the squealing. When I get more time, I plan on pulling the cables, cleaning all the connections, and even reversing the 2 and see if I can remedy the problem. I've also ordered and received a full complement of new tubes from Eurotubes, although they sent tubes for a Supersonic Combo, which is only 2 power tubes and 8 preamps. I called and curiously, they had never even heard of a Supersonic Twin. Nevertheless, I had to order 2 more power tubes and an additional preamp to complete the retube, if necessary. As many problems that I've had with this amp, I'm determined to keep it and make it work for me. It spent a lot of time on a bench in the beginning at a authorized repair shop, and that was when the amp was only 4 months old. Should have seen the red flags then, but I'm too stubborn to let it fail me. I'll let everyone know how the cable cleaning/swapping goes. Thanks!!

You might want to clean the reverb cable rca connectors with Deoxit making sure you don't mix up the order they were plugged in. Some issues occur when they get dirty. Then try substituting the tubes and also try cleaning the tube sockets and pins of the tubes.
Must have been this Professional suggestion! Just saying!
