I have a modified Custom Vibrolux Reverb. I had the Fromel Supreme Cap kit and his tone stack/circuit mod installed. It came back a new a quiet fine sounding amp. Like an old Vibroverb. I'm asking for advice on Accutronics reverb tanks. Mine lost a spring (or springs) and after trying to fix it I decided to buy a new tank. Mine was a 4AB3C1B. The #3 indicates that it had a long decay. I am going to use a 3 spring unit with medium decay this time. 9AB2C1B. I learned that each spring is really 2 springs hooked together in the middle. I am mostly concerned about the decay being shorter. It will be 1.75 - 3.0 seconds instead of the longer decay of 2.75 - 4.0 seconds. I play blues and am thinking that the shorter decay may be more subtle. Any ideas ?
