Post subject: Tremolo too rapid

From some info I've gathered, increasing the value of a cap in a Fender tremolo circuit will slow down the tremolo. (I.e., C22 on a DRRI increased to .047uf from the stock .022uf, which is what I'd try) Just figured I'd ask to see if I'm on the right path with this.

+1 ,you can have any speed ( slow ) you want with speed pot .

Upnorth, tremolo circuit may be defective ?

There are three caps in a row in the tremolo/vibrato circuit. 0.02/0.01/0.01 mfd. Can be poly-caps or disc caps. You need to increase the 0.01mfd cap. Not the 0.02mfd cap. To 0.02/0.02/0.01 triplet. Or 0.02/0.02/0.02 triplet, if you really want a slow tremolo.
