I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Western Edition Combo which was a limited edition amp made for Guitar Center. The power tube section of the amp takes Fender-Groove Tube GT-6L6C tubes (the label is white on these tubes) p/n 073314. These do not seem to be sold from any of the major music/instrument websites (musicians friend, guitar center, etc..). I was wondering if these tubes are available to purchase directly from Fender? I know i could use differnt 6L6's and re-bias, but i love the tone these give..

Welcome to the Forum

Those are Groove Tubes with the Fender logo put on them. Where ever you find Groove Tubes should have them, probably without the Fender logo.

BTW: Fender now owns Groove Tubes.

I also have the Hot Rod Deluxe (not the western). You can buy Groove tubes at any Guitar Center. They have them there. However, they're not the color coded Fender ones. Groove Tubes (recently bought by Fender) now use a numbering system.

However (and good luck for you) You can get the Fender color coded (reds, whites, and blues) tubes, just like the ones that came with your amp at Musician's friend. I know......because I bought some spares from them. Here is the link.

One more thing.....when you go to the link I sent you...it will show a red color coded pic of a tube. That same site sells all three colors. Just go to the part where you can open up the box for making purchases, and you'll see a selection of Colors. The white ones are in there.
