I watched the demo for this amp on You Tube and liked what I heard. Does anyone know when they will be available?

The official release can't be too far off since it's already listed on Fender's product webpage......

I saw several Ebay listings for the 5E3 head last night on Ebay. Nice, but *very* pricey.

I may have said this before. Some fender amps are instruments others are consumer products.

If you don't want to build your own, Victoria would be mu first choice.

I built my own and I'm planning on building another from BYOC that has a few cool twists. Combo or Head version too.

While I own a Victoria and this is the favorite amp I've had, it's really no help to tell people that they'd be better off buying a victoria and that the amp fender offers is a ripoff. I understand completely people who want an amp that says Fender on it. just my two cents.

Its a big help for some one who lives paycheck to paycheck to tell them there may be a better option if the don't need the Fender name. So I think it may be help. That's my 2 cents.

Oh and the lifetime warranty helps. How long can you get Fender parts for after they stop making the amp?

Fortuitously, this amp is based on the original circuitry of the 1950's and is built using the same technology and methods. It contains no IC's, transistors, or op-amp modules -- just standard off-the-shelf components as Leo used when building the originals. Thus, it will remain logistically supportable for many many years.

If a piece of gear suits my purpose, I don't care who's name's on it. The nice thing about the old circuits that Leo and others have designed is that not only can you buy a clone that can sound as good as the originals, you can also build your own and mod it if you want to. Those Victoria amps are really sweet.

I've been looking at a few different amps kits including a Supro Model 24. The only thing that holds me back from the Supro is the availability of real 6973 power tubes which are sort of like a fuller, rounder sounding EL84. Electro Harmonix has then, but from what I've read, they pretty much aren't at all like the originals. NOS 6973's in matched pairs are getting scarce and are around $150 a pair. It would be nice to have a Supro amp to go with my 63 Supro Martinique.
