Hi there,

Just bought a Fender Hot Rod deluxe and shall use it for playing blues and -70's rock with either a Fender Nashville Power tele or Gibson SG.

SRV, George Thorogood, ZZ-top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Albert Lee, Status Quo.

Are there someone out there with a simular setup and plays simular Music, do you need pedals and if soo, which pedals work best ?

Any adwise is appreciated

An Ibanez Tubescreamer or its many variations works good, but I would just try a bunch of pedals and pick the one that works for you. There are so many choices these days .

+1

As far as crunch and clean boost go, the Fulltone OCD is hard to beat.

For a heavier vibe, the TS9, the Pro Co Rat, or Digitech's Bad Monkey may be preferable.

I use a Nady TD1 tube distortion device. it gives that real smooth Santana like overdrive and many shades in between that and slight overdrive.

Best Distortion pedal I have ever used.... I put it in front of my Hot Rod Deluxe between the guitar and amp input.
