Hey everybody!

I am looking for an amp I could gig with and also play at home with and that works really fine with pedals.

The 68' Custom Delux Reverb and Princeton Reverb caught my eyes.

I would like to be able to get the volume to 5-6 at a reasonnable volume unlike my Blues Deluxe Reissue that I still haven't modified and that I only gig with.

In a short time one of my strats will be equipped with the 25db MDX and I will use it a lot. I am looking for a warm tone with nice highs but especially heavy basses and smooth mids.
I am looking for these to drive nicely not some horrible drive you can get from some amps

What do you think of these two amps? I play a lot of Blues/Rock.

Do a search on this forum. There are several threads on these amps filled with praise or condemnation.

Or outright disappointment that one member of Fender's vintage-modified lineup has been announced for production then apparently cancelled......twice!

:x

I have a 68 Custom VM Deluxe and I love it - it has a really nice, rich, sweet sound and beautiful silverface looks... But these amps have had lots of problems; hopefully they been fixed, but I had to try 4 to get a good one, the others were very noisy with feeding back reverb, loud ticking tremolo or just DOA. As mentioned, the 68 Vibrolux that lots of people are waiting for has been available twice and pulled both times. You might really like one of these, but be sure to get it at a store that will let you easily return it.
