Kinda wierd how Fender makes a SS 22 combo 112, but doesn't make a 112 cab to go with the SS 22 head. I'm thinking about picking one of these up, but don't know what cab will fit. I can't do a larger cab due to my back, and my wife won't roadie for me. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Milton555,

It will fit this one, with the amp being just a 1/4" over on each side.

It will fit this one with a little room to spare.

Since weight is a consideration you can get the same speaker in a slightly smaller fender cab made for the X2. It weighs 28 lbs. and the HDR cab is 41 lbs. The X2 is also a hundred dollars less. The HRD is a nicer cab, IMO but, it is the same speaker.

The SC cab is probably too small to set the SS 22 amp on top of it. The SS 22 head is 24" wide, and the SC cab is only 17.5" wide. This is why I didn't include that cab in the possibilities that would fit.

I'd give one of these some *serious* consideration......

http://www.mojotone.com/amp-parts/cabin ... =undefined

They're real wood, they can be costumed in virtually any covering and grill cloth combination, and they're configurable with a number of different speaker configurations. And adding the speaker(s) of choice frees one from the mediocrity of OEM tyranny.
