Should all amps in a particular line be the exact same, in sound. Can they vary like guitars do?
I hope to get a superchamp in the next few weeks and if I try a shop floor one, and am happy with it, should i expect a boxed one to sound the exact same?

I believe there should be no difference in tone between two new amps. This presuming they both are in good working order. Yes, new amps do sometimes have faulty tubes or other subtle issues, but with a warranty you will be covered.

On the other hand, if you were buying a used amp, there could be great difference in tonal qualities. Vintage amps truly vary quite a bit in quality of sound, this depending on many factors. I owned a HRDx for a period of time that I purchased off ebay which was described as being in "nice condition," only to find out that it had serious issues with channel switching, previous owners had attempted to modify it. :( But I digress with information for which you didn't ask.

But, let's wait and see what others might have to say.

If they were both in the same shape. The floor model has probably been dogged to death and the new one will take a little time to get broken-in unlike the floor model.

They can have sleight tonal variances due to component and manufacturing tolerances. Two new amps usually are close, but not exactly the same. It's not that big a deal.

Every tube amp is unique...no two-tube guitar amps are exactly the same, duplicating settings on two or more amps will not achieve the same tone.
Even with identical brand amps, the numbered control settings are not the same because of normal component tolerances including individual preamp tube gain, among other reasons.

yep, unless something is wrong with the new amp, it should sound as close to identical to the other amp as detectable by a human ear, as long as both amps use the same components and are played by the same gear.
not counting the new speaker being stiff and flabby of course.

theoretically.

Identical new amps should sound the same IF(and it's a big if) all the internal components are also identical. Fender will use different speaker manufacturers for loading their products. It is possible to get the same amp, and have it sound different due to different speakers. It may not be a big difference, but one nonetheless. Tubes can also ary.
