Just picked up the '57 Bandmaster Custom amp. All I can say is WOW! Very touch sensitive to playing technique and to guitar volume/tone controls. Volume levels between 1-6 on the amp and you get a very clean, tweed, classic Fender tone. But when the volume is turned up on the amp between 7 and dimed, then the tonal bliss begins. I mainly play an AVRI /57 Strat through it, and boy does it dirty up. Sounds better than any other amp that I've owned and used OD or fuzz pedals to achieve this sound. I've read alot of negative reviews of the Jensen P10R-F speakers used in these, but I love them. Very ariticulate, and they hold together very well with the amp cranked. That being said, if the amp is played on around 5-6 on the volume, it stays fairly clean is loud enough to jam with others or gig in a small venue. Or raise the volume on the amp a little higher and roll the volume back on the guitar to clean it up. The mic channel has a cool tone, a little tamer than the instrument input. I really dig the tone of the amp with the channels jumped. The bass control starts to add gain with the channels jumped. The amp also takes pedals very well for a tweed. Although it doesn't need any help for distortion at higher volumes, it does take a tube screamer well to achieve this tone at lower volume. It also takes my Fulltone Octafuzz very well, & also modulation pedals. I previously had an EC Tremolux and just about any pedal I could throw at it, it would start to sound overdriven. So in short, awesome amp, couldn't be happier. I have never played an original tweed Bandmaster, so I cant comment on how it A/B's with an original. I could care less, this is simply a great amp, kudos Fender. Price is a bit high. I found this one used and traded in some gear on it so I didn't have to cough up $2500. The music store I purchased it at had a brand new one and this one. I thought the tweed was less scuffed up on the used one that I bought. It's pretty much in mint condition. Doesn't look like it was used much. Has the badge on the rear of the amp that says First Production Run #25 of 75. Kinda cool. I'll also add that I've played my Carvin guitar through it with humbuckers and it sounds great that way too.

Congrats on a fine amp! And you don't have to use photobucket, there are other sites you can use. We love pics!
