No! That's just ignorant and wrong. It works both ways. Noobs should be be even more polite. Coming into a forum, asking questions of the members, and then arguing with those who have already "been there and done that" is stupid. But people on the internet feel like "big people" because the people they interact with are, for the most part, nameless, faceless entities. And, they never take the time to browse through the forums and take note of the extensive qualifications of the most helpful members. Nor have they bothered to develop basic problem solving skills.

Just my opinion, but anyone who joins a forum using a handle like his is just looking for an argument from the outset. I'm speaking of (yomammaaho not sfscott.) The OP should have let it drop when he posted "Thanks" and may have been teasing when he posted "Grumpy much?" The other poster had no business posting unless he had relevant input or was expanding on the OPs question. Apparently he thinks he has an axe to grind. (no pun intended.)

Most of us value your opinion and professional experience. I can only suggest that you ignore the guy.
