I ordered a Cannabis Rex for the Hot Rod Deluxe from Sweetwater today. The Lil Buddy in my Super Champ X2 convinced me to do it along with your review of yours.......

Shimmy,

I hear that the Cannabis Rex sounds exceptional in the states of Colorado and Washington. Any truth to this?

I think that it's only licensed for recreational use in CO, in WA you have to have a doctors note.

I got a keyboard player friend who lives up there in Washington he don't need no stinkin card either it is legal for everyone up there over 21 years old.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... medium=RSS

"Alaska is poised to become the third state to legalize retail marijuana after pro-pot advocates this week cleared the signature hurdle to place an initiative on the August ballot.

The Committee to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol in Alaska hit 31,593 valid signatures Tuesday, well above the 30,169 signatures required to place the measure before voters. The initiative is expected to appear on the Aug. 19 primary ballot once a final count is certified by the state.

Alaska follows in the footsteps of Colorado and Washington, where voters approved measures to regulate the sale of recreational marijuana for adults in November 2012. Colorado unveiled the nation’s first retail pot shops in Jan. 1, and Washington is expected to begin marijuana sales in June."

Although I don't use, I'm firmly convinced that it should be as legal as alcohol or tobacco, maybe even more so. You only have to look at what alcohol prohibition did for organized crime to realize that the same holds true for M. I don't give a rats $@! if my doctor, dentist, lawyer, policeman or postman wants to get high on their own time, make their own clothes or speakers or make their own medicine. In fact, there are many people who might calm-the-fu¢k down if they got high occasionally. I will not listen to any more of the BS '40s-'50s propaganda made by the racists, chemical corps and government liars, or the grossly misinformed, about the "dangers". 8)

C-Rex in my Super-sonic 22 sounds fantastic, and doesn't lose any of the classic Fender chime on the vintage channel, sounds great on the burn channel too. Actually- believe it or not, it doesn't sound much different than the stock Lightning Bolt I took out (which I have since put in another amp, where it also sounds fantastic.)

I couldn't agree with this more. Like you I am not a pot smoker or any other kind of illegal drug user but having smoked pot as a young man I can agree from a personal observation it is as safe or safer than alcohol. You never hear of some guy burning a big fattie and then knocking over a liquor store at gunpoint or beating the hell out of his wife or driving a buck forty down the highway and careening into oncoming traffic and into a bridge support killing five. You hear about guys doing that on alcohol. I also think that if it were legalized it would remove the 'gateway' attribute of the drug. With it being illegal now, you have to associate with criminals to obtain it which puts the user right up next to those who also do or sell other drugs like coke or meth or ex. If it were legal a pot smoker would no longer have to rub up against those people and the 'gateway' aspect would disappear.

Why don't you tap-dance through that rationalization with the families of the fourteen killed in this rail disaster......?

Absolute BS!

Amtrak? You're kidding, right? How many other people have been killed by Amtrak trains before they went bankrupt from corruption and mismanagement. I remember a time when you could read about some Amtrak incident nearly once a week, and they found one that they could blame pot for. That is beyond the pale.

How convenient for Amtrak to blame everything that went wrong in that incident on pot. Disabled safeties, common automatic features that Amtrak failed to use (until after the accident of course), the other trains on the wrong tracks, after the signals which didn't work.

This is what I referred to before, propaganda that has been firmly entrenched in the minds of those that believe that kind of nonsense.

I have a lot of respect for you Retroverbial, but it seems that you believe all of the BS about pot that has been put out there by the very people that you should, and probably do, despise.
