Hi guys and gals,

This may have been covered in the past but I'm new here so please forgive...
I would like to add a cabinet to my Blues Junior, any recomendations. Don't want to spend a lot ($100.00-$200.00 max) and I don't have a motivation to build my own.

thanks

Sgt.

That price point might be hard to find. Fender's new Hot Rod Deluxe 1 x 12 cab would match the BJ visually, and Fender, Epi and Marshall make a decent 4 x 12 sealed cabinet for around $300, either would give the Blues Jr more punch and volume. Blackheart and Epi also have 1 x 12 sealed enclosures for not much $.

The BJ doesn't have an auxilliary speaker jack

Unless you are adding a 2x12 speaker cabinet or a 4x12 speaker cabinet you won't gain anything. The Blues Jr already uses a 1x12 speaker.

You might be able to find a used 2x12 speaker cabinet on www.craigslist.org, or possibly on eBay for $100 - $200.

Myself, I prefer the tighter, more focused punch of a sealed cabinet, even a 1 x 12", to an open back, so I'd call that a small gain.

Spend a little more and get a 212 8 ohm cabinet from avatar and have them load it with Celestion Vintage 30s. They build great cabinets and it will last you forever. (www.avatarspeakers.com)
