I just unpacked my beautiful new 65 twin reverb amp... Turned it on, tried it out... everything is heaven until I turn the reverb control passed 3.. Terrible feedback sound!! Therefore I can't use the reverb at all.. I've done some research on the internet and seems that the best way to fix this is to change the reverb tank.. Is this something as easy as ordering the part and changing it myself?? Or am I screwed and just spent $1300 on a twin reverb that does not have reverb... Please help me out here! Worst day of my life!

Hi dnbidtyd,

The best way to fix it is to correct the actual problem, which means you first have to identify the problem. Checking for warranty might be the best first step. I would start by trying another reverb driver, 12AT7 tube, as it sounds like a microphonic tube, quite common actually.

Only the one for the reverb.

However, after reading your second thread about the same amp, I would return the amp.
