:) Hi, I just got this amp today in trade. I know the amp get some problem but for what I trade.

(My Roland Alpha Juno2 synth. If I make a short story. is a long time this guy want my synth and the guy don't have cash to fix the amp and me I want a clean sound when I play guitar)

My synth for this amp is a joke  event if I need to spend some $$.

The amp power up and I get sound out and the reverb work well. for the tremolo I don't know because I need to buy a footswicht
the problem sometime I got some spark sound when I play bass note on my strat.
same sound when you unplug your guitar when the amp is not on standby
do you think is tube problem
thanks

Possibly.

It might also be a cold solder joint or a speaker issue.

" some time some spark. "

Whoa! You are getting a "spark," like an electrical short, when you flip on the reverb? Like you SEE a spark? Or just hear it? Where is this spark coming from?

If you are seeing a spark, better not use the amp until it can be looked at by a good tech.

Try carefully pulling each tube, one-by-one, and using a little contact cleaner on the pins and sockets. Work each tube in-&-out of its appropiate socket a couple of times, to clean the contacts.

Hope this work. :D

Be sure to TURN THE AMP OFF AND UNPLUG IT FIRST before proceeding.

Stratele, prolly best to rule-out the tube-socket contact, first. Use a good contact cleaner. Then, go after poor wiring connections and poor soldering.

How many times has poor soldering come up, in these modern amps? I don't get it. Aren't the same manufacturing techniques used in the assembly of flat-screen monitors & TV's? I don't think I've ever heard of a poor solder point in them. :?:

Your typical flat-screen plasma TV ain't bein' manhandled into and out of a car, dragged up (or down) a flight of stairs, then abused by some half-in-the-bag musician night after night after night.

Screen grid resistor (470 ohm, 1 watt). You should probably replace the one on each output tube, and use 2 watt replacements.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

Do not over-spec them.

They're there to protect the amp in the event of a runaway tube.
