Here's a guy who actually has a better demo video. Fender should've hired him.
Still doesn't do anything for me, but at least it sounds near its price point. This guys a great player too.

OP: Anyone seen a Vaporizer yet?
Fender Forumites: Likely to suck. Vintage amps are better.
Greg: I've got one! Want to hear it?
Fender Forumites: Our home-built midlife crisis machines are better. Want to see some pics? Look at me! Look at meeeeee!!! :!: :!: :!:

Has nothing to do with look at me or a mid life crisis. What was being pointed out is there are better and not much more expensive options to a mediocre amp. And I'll tell you what, the home built mid-life crisis machines ARE better, way better. Sorry pal but this forum is full of people who are disappointed with the latest Fender offerings and not just Geezers either. This garbage IS the reason we look for alternatives. The videos aren't a look at me moment?

These are only opinions so don't get your panties in a bunch. If you don't like it put us on your foe list, it's that easy.

I am not trying to convince anyone to buy the amp, just showing how pleased I am with it! I preffer you guys not to buy it actually, I hate it when I see other playing the same gear as I have!
And thanks for the kind words guys I am more of a triangle player than a guitarist, but I do have regular gigs every week playing guitar! I know there is a lot of guitarists here that are bed room jammers, so I don't get offended when I am criticized

I've seen this guy demo a lot of amps. He mailed this one in or it is in his contract. He was not in the mood for the Vaporizer.

I guess junk amps rule. You don't have to worry about me buying one but hey some people have money to burn.

I don't understand the hate for this amp.
I thought Gregs video sounded very cool.
I hear a lot of what I consider crappy tone all the time and this sounds very good both clean and driven. It sounds like it would cut through a mix quite well.
I like the looks cool too. It would fit right in with my 1950s furniture at the house.
The pawn shop amps are usually very simple circuits and I think that's why they sound good. Time will tell if they are well made.
They may not sound as Fenderish as some would like, but that's kind of the point.

I like the sound. As far as I can tell from youtube anyways. I'll definitely try one.

Yes......

It seems as though FMIC is running as far and as fast from its traditional roots as it possibly can.

And when they've finally cashed in all the respect that the original founder's products once commanded for their durability, reliability, simplicity of repair, and ergonometric ease they'll be just another has-been corporation who forgot WTF they got into the business for in the first place.

Using EL84 tubes is not my idea of Fender sound, although some of the smaller popular amps use them.
6v6 is the tube sound I want from the smaller output fenders. I have to say, the Vaporizer setting with the guitar signal going straight to the tubes is pretty cool, IMO. I like surf green amps and I like the look of the amp. I have no use for it though.

I hope to get to play through one some day for sheets and giggles.

Hasn't it already been 50 years since they made an amp you liked?

Is it just me who hear a "tremolo" type noise on all three videos, where the noise volume seems to shimmer at around 4-5 Hz? A leslie for the noise, but not the tone, so to speak? It'd drive me nuts.

And for the record, I like the Pawn Shop Excelsior, found the Ramparte to be a sheep in wolf's clothing, very uninspired. It's not that I hate newer amps. I'm just picky. And think that this is the worst sounding one of the trio.
Of today's cheaper Fender amps, I think I like the Blues Jr. the best, though. It's a little more than the Pawn Shop ones, but not that much more.

Dunno. At least 35 I'd reckon. Whenever the last of the old-school engineers that knew WTF they were doing either tossed in the towel and quit or were forced into retirement. I think Ed Jahns was the last of them. That was around '82 or so. Guys like that are why amps like mine are still around -- they built them to last.
