Thanks for taking the time for the demo Greg, I liked your playing but the amp ain't doing it for me, but it's a YouTube video. I would still have to try it live. It comes off a bit brittle and noisy when you push it, which is something I've been finding with the whole series. At that price point, I doubt that the money's in the components or the speakers. Your guitars are nice and I liked your playing.

Thanks, its not for everyone, and it is a little brittle when cranked, but I was going straight through the amp with no effects, maybe a compression pedal or eq would help. I really like the amp and will continue to defend it no matter what you guy say!

Here's the amp kit I built. I changed the speaker to a Weber 12A125A light dope and the amp is crazy nice. Puts out around 18 watts. I've been gigging it all over the place. I do photography for a living. If I can build one anybody can.

See but here it goes again. You're all ready to change out the speakers on a brand new amp that still has the tags on it. It would have never made it out of the store with me. My clone doesn't get brittle when it's cranked.
I don't need to defend what I like. I guess to each his/her own.

I already have the speakers, it would be a pitty to leave them on the shelf. the amp sounds good out of the box, upgrading the speaker doesn't hurt it at all.

Nice video! Sounds good to me. I had been wanting to hear the reverb at a lower setting than the "titillating" in the Fender video.

Question: is the noise from the amp or your microphone/computer setup?

Great demo video, as demo vids go. Only critique is the sound fidelity which plagues most demo vids. You made it about the amp and not your playing, which made listening to the vid pleasant. :D

I hope the subtle compliment was not lost above.

I just use a crappy camera for my videos so sound really does suck, I wish I had some good camera equipment too.

Thanks for that - it was enlightening, as in definitely something I do not want. The cyclic throbbing noise sounded just awful. But I hope you'll enjoy it - you certainly got a colour theme going on there!

you have to understand that all the noise was from the camera and the fact the single coils were buzzing, its ok. I want you guys to Hate this amp! I will be the only one with one and that s fine with me!

Greg, That one isn't doing it either. I would suggest if it can't be recorded in a better way, you might not want to post these. It's not helping your argument. Now it sounds like it's buzzing and sizzling. To be fair, even Fender's new video sounds horrible. It's kind of funny, but sounds thin and lifeless. The distortion with the vaporizer is reminiscent or the old HRDlx icepick in the forehead. I'll still try one out just to satisfy my curiosity and bolster my ego about how much better the amps I built myself sound than this stuff. Sorry Greg, don't take my criticism personally and I appreciate you taking the time to demo the amp.

Thanks for the second video Greg. Don't mind these guys. They just want to turn every thread into a circle jerk about their own gear, because nobody would read or comment about it otherwise.
