Could someone please provide a layout/assignment diagram and function description for the preamp tubes in a Fender Supersonic 100 head? My research has turned up that info for the Supersonic 60, but I believe the SS 100 may be different. I also know that the schematic is available, but I don't have a high level of confidence in my ability to figure out the physical preamp tube layout and functions from the schematic.

Thanks in advance.

Aren't tube assignments on the sticker of the wall inside the amp cab?

Thanks for noticing my post.

The location of the tubes and the tube type is supplied by the tube chart. What I need to know, however, is the function of each tube. I'd like to know, for example, which one of the 12AT7's is the Phase Inverter and which is the Reverb send. I'm not good enough with a schematic to figure that out. I've sent this question off to Fender customer support, but I haven't heard back yet. If I get this info somewhere else, I'll post it here.

I see. The SS is a unique amp. I'd like to know the preamp assignments purely out of curiosity. I hope you are quickly successful in your search.

Each preamp and PI tube has two triodes (halves) contained in a single tube.

V2 - 12AX7, 2nd (tone stack recovery) and 3rd preamp stages for Vintage only
V3 - 12AX7, 2nd and 3rd preamp stages Burn only
V4 - 12AX7, 4th and 5th preamp stages Burn only, first half is Cathode follower configured
V5 - 12AT7, Reverb driver
V6 - 12AX7, Reverb recovery
V7 - 12AX7, Effects loop driver (send), first half used as Cathode follower (next to last preamp stage) when effects loop not engaged, vintage and burn
V8 - 12AX7, Half for effects loop recovery (return), half final preamp stage for vintage and burn
V9 - 12AT7, phase inverter (PI), drives output tubes
V10, V11, V12, V13 - Output tubes

No problem. How do you like the amp? Are you planning on doing some tube swapping? If so, please report back on your results.

Not to horn in on the OP's thread but I absolutely love my SS 100 head. The versatility of this amp is above and beyond anything I expected. And of all the myriad of amps I've had in 45+ years of playing the only one in memory I would rate 5 stars.

No tube changes for me, at least not yet. It was perfect out of the box 3-4 months ago and remains so today.
