WHICH Deluxe reissue?

Deluxe Reverb Reissue?

Hot Rod Deluxe?

Blues Deluxe Reissue?

In any case, the owner's manual can be found here. It will answer your question.

BlueSky, tried that very unsucksessfully!

Not sure how they're wired. I imagine the tranny would
accept an 8ohm load but thought there would be more printed info!

Tried what unsuccessfully?

You still haven't said which "Deluxe" your friend has.

All three of the amps I mentioned can be found in the link I gave you.

Sorry but that site is like navigating in a fog.

BTW it is a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue. Looks exactly
like the ol' Blackface. I've had my real 65 Bandmaster aside of it
on stage and unless you knew, you can't tell the diff!

Thanks for the direction too on the site but no matter what
(or how) I type in for manuals or schematics it says it can't be found!

You can *probably* get by using a second 8-ohm load plugged into the extension speaker jack (the internal 8-ohm speaker must remain connected) but I would not go lower in impedance than that. Nor would I push the amp very hard or for very long in that under-loaded condition.

All you do is click on the link I gave you and the page opens with every currently available Fender owner's manual. Find the one you want and click on it. A PDF document will then download. There is absolutely nothing to type in.

+1

Guess I should have just answered the question without knowing which amp we were talking about or trying to show the OP where he could find the answer.

The information is there in black and white, however, it really helps to know how to use it. I usually find that information on the back of the amp, but again, it helps to know what one is reading.

There are multiple threads in this forum about running an extension speaker on a DRRI. The general concensus of all of them is as Arjay stated.

Thanks guys and thanks for the direct link too.
As it's stated the EXT Speaker will affect the Ohms.
Parallel or Series ?
2 8ohms parallel = 4 Ohms.
I agree with Arjay about the wear & tear on the system with both
speakers in play.
Simply put, smaller gigs, keep it simple without having to lug an
extension cab.
Thanks again,
Vin

The speaker jacks are wired in parallel to the output tranny's single 8-ohm tap. The primary is a self-grounding jack and a plug must be inserted into it before the extension jack is "live".

Or just unplug the internal speaker and plug the external (8 ohm) cabinet into the Internal jack.
