Looks pretty good Warpfield. I hope to someday be good at woodworking. I was thinking of making a head out of my Champion 600. What are you guys' thoughts on that idea?

Hello Blues bondsman,

Yea I'm gonna finish it somehow, the
first attempt was with some type of
poly gel wipe on stuff that really didn't
cut it. So I sanded it off and here we are
I'll wait til the speaker cab is done to finish it.

Hey Hotrod definitly get that 600 head thing
going it'll be pretty neat.

Cheers.

Great work man! I would love to see more pictures of this and the cab when you build it.

awesome, cant wait to see it.

Can you imagine a cab made out of purple heart and a nice cherry wood, let it age for a bit and color up then a few coats of clear poly !!!!

the shades would be subtle but just plain awesome to see !!!!

I used to do a lot of scroll saw work for a hobby and I love the woods that gain character as they age.

cabinet work is a whole other art that requiers more of a structured aproach than my free style mind can deal with, I am glad there are people like you that can do it !!!!

Hello Mickeyb1029,

Nah, I never made a drawing,
first I made a cardboard prototype
for feasibility. When I get more wood
I'll get the speaker cabinet made.

This weekend I'll make some
kind of drawing and another
photo or two. This was a
very easy and inexpensive project

This head version,
make it very convenient
to drive your giutar thru
the amplifier.

Hope you make one.

Cheers.

Hey Bill, another question. What did you do with the reverb tank? Is it in with the head or did you leave it with the speaker?

Hello Mikeyb1029,

The reverb tank is located upside down
underneath chasis.

Inbetween is 1/2" plywood

Tommorrow I'll have a camera here
and get photographs.

My weekends begin on Sunday.

Cheers.

Bill. Do I need to shield the inside of the head unit like in the original amp? If so do you know where / what I should use? It looks like it is just tape.
