Like most clubbing guys, combos are the default ease of operation for me. But think of what a return to the mid-sized combos of the 60's would bring: keep your bottom, just change heads. And a 2-12 cab delivers huge thunk compared to say a single 12 with an open back. Those Bandmaster bottoms were really very easily carried and stored in your trunk or whatever. And you can mix n match with a given head--a single 15, two 12s, a 12 and a 10, the combinations give you a lot of individual custom control--as opposed to a combo speaker config.

There is much to love in a return to 60's values!

I use the Hotrod Deluxe right now but am planning to move to the supersonic real soon. I love the blend of vintage and modern sound. Get two and put one on each side of the stage and get a super huge sound. Oo baby. :D
