Hey guys,
I've posted here lately about this issue but now it's different.
I got this amp for 6 month, and the Reverb or the Presence don't work.
a couple months ago It just came back to life but a few days later it happend again.
It make some noise while changing the value with the knob, but the effect isn't working.
The cables are welled positione,
What could it be?
Thanks,
Idan

6 months old or you buy it second hand and it have many years ?

Reverb and Presence ; 2 different things / circuit .

Check tubes , solder on printed circuit board , resistor . Could be many many things

It's 2nd hand but bought from a guy who had it for just amonth, so it's kinda 1st hand.
If i focus on the reverb, what might it be? the presence means nothings to me.
Thanks for reply :)

Reverb do not work

Check if wire from the reverb tank to the amp are ok.

If you shake the reverb tank , or amp vigorously , you must heard a loud "bang " . Keep amp volume low . This mean reverb tank and wire are OK .

If can't hear the "bang" check spring inside reverb tank if broken , check wire . Check RCA connector at the back of the amp

" Bang " or not check reverb tubes by putting new tubes . Be sure the amp have reverb tubes

If everything look good and no reverb the amp need to see a qualified tech.

Lethal voltage inside tube amp even is disconnected from the wall

Reverb driver/receiver in the Hot Rod Deville 212 is an integrated circuit. The reverb cables run between the reverb tank (two RCA connectors for both input and output) and PCB. There is no RCA cable connector on the back of the amp.

There is a gray wire connecting the speaker output jack to the feedback resistor (R69) on the PCB. Gray wire may be broken. However, if one is not familiar with how the presence control works, one may not recognize its effect as the knob is turned from 1 (less bright treble) to 12 (more bright treble).
