Couldn't pass up the 15 percent off this week at Musicians Friend. (anything over $399) I thought about about the '68 Custom Deluxe but settled on the Princeton for a small venue grab and go.

I'll do some speaker swaps and post results once I can get everything broke in.

 Wish you wouldn't post things like this! I'm trying so hard to resist buying one!
It's like setting a bottle of Crown Royal in front of a 'reformed' alcoholic. :(

Musician's Friend lists Fender as one of the brands declining to participate in the discount program. Did you find a way around that?

I must have, unintentionally of course. I went to the chat part of their webpage, when the person answered I typed in "Holiday Surprise". I then told them I had something in my cart. They gave me a code, I typed it in the appropriate box and it gave me 15% off the $849 price.

The 15% off is for this week only.

Cool! I'm still resisting, but that 15% is sooooo enticing :| :?:
