:D :P :D To start off I think I'm going to poop myself, but before I do, I want to thank all of you who helped me with my last journey. I was getting back into guitar after a hiatus and had never played electric (only acoustic). I started off with a squire vibe 60's version and made that decision with a lot of help with guys from the forum. I was very happy with it and sold it for a profit and picked up a 60th anniversary Highway One. Wasn't very fond of the matte finish and the 70's headstock at the time so I got a new American Strat and didn't like it at all compared to my Highway One. A very good point was the guys on the forum said that I shouldn't be judging guitars with a Mustang One $100 amp which after a very short consideration I agreed and ended up getting a used Blues Junior One which I've been very happy with and the size and sound capability suits my medium sized den/man cave.

NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF
I just by chance bought a Fender Blues Deluxe Original Tweed on castors for $100!!! When I went and looked at it the power came on but there was no sound and I realized that the tubes had been removed, at which time dude selling the amp asked 'oh? do you need tubes to make it work?' and then I saw the made in USA and figured I'll roll the dice for the $100. I then drove directly and most probably at a most unreasonably fast speed to my local music store. I put new tubes in it, and hot damn the thing works! Now I know nothing about the Fender Blues Deluxe Originals. The guys at the music store seem to think I got a good deal, I am just wondering what all of you think. If it turns out that it is too big for my den and I decide to keep my Blues Junior, how much should I sell the Deluxe for?

Now for a question:
Jack 1 is a bit iffy, and an amp guy told me to use an unlubricated cleaner to clean it out. The jack may need to be replaced with is fine. Are there any product names of unlubricated cleaner that I should be looking for?

Now for the ending
Sorry for the long post and thank you for all those who took the time to read it. Funny enough I have not seen any Fender Blues Deluxe on eBay or Craigslist and I am thinking this is because people are not selling them because they like them.

Gratefully from the mountains of beautiful BC Canada

You can't even buy a decent effects pedal for a hundred bucks anymore.

I think you made a righteous score!

Be sure to have the idle bias checked (and adjusted if necessary) to optimize the tone from the new power tubes and give them a fighting chance for a long life.

I would sell that piddlyass BJr to the first shmuck who responded to your C/L ad and keep the Blues Deluxe for sure.

Very nice deal! I haven't heard of this range of $$$ for an amp --- except an orphan for parts.

Have any photos? :D  :D

Great deal on that amp. I got lucky sorta like that on an original tweed blues deville 4 x 10. I have a reissue Blues Deluxe and that amp sounds great. I tame mine down with a 50 watt Weber Mini Mass http://taweber.powweb.com/weber/minimass.htm and use the second input of the amp...

I also use a volume pedal after my dirt pedals...

I would not sell that amp unless you really need the money. I paid $95.00 just for the C-Rex I stuck in my Blues Deluxe Reissue....

Nice score! Regarding the electrical contact cleaner, I've had good luck with Deoxit D5. You should be able to pick up a can at most Guitar Centers for $20 or so:
http://www.guitarcenter.com/CAIG-DeoxIT ... 1134929.gc

Spray some on the tip of a guitar cable, insert into the jack, remove, and repeat several times. If the jack is really dirty it could take a few applications. Good luck!
