I've had my DRRI for over a year. I retubed it with JJs and put a Weber 50w 12f150 in it and have had no problems with the amp. Yesterday, when I was playing and clicked on my vibrato, I lost 90% of my volume and had no Vibrato. Is this a V4 or V5 issue or something internal? I don't have a spare 12AX7 (shame on me) but have a spare 5751 but I'm not sure if I can use it in v4 or v5 temporarily to test for a bad tube.

Any thoughts?

Yes, you can use a 5751 in a 12AX7 position. Good luck. Tell us how the swap works out.

It's possible that you may have a failed LDR (light dependent resistor).

Depending on the year the DRRI was made, it may not have the opto-coupler. Instead, may use solid-state devices on a separate board.

No joy on the tube swap. At this point its still under warranty and I have a five star service center nearby. I was hoping for just a simple bad tube as there is a two week turnaround time at the shop.

It was a footswitch problem. Got it back super quick!
