'hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving!....my Blues Deluxe Reissue (prob out of warranty, I've misplaced the invoice, OK, LOST the invoice) intermittently goes COMPLETELY silent & then, aft an audible "pop," returns to normal;this is in my room w/no physical movement whatsoever & @ very low volumes-'nothing I've tried has either caused the symptom to occur or stopped it from occurring when it happens-I've played w/speaker & spk cable connections (there IS no impedance switch & I've gently tapped on ALL tubes w/the eraser end of a pencil/2 output tubes & 3 preamp, all continuously glowing 'seemingly equally)-'does this on either channel w/either instrument input jack, I've also tried messing w/the bright switch & the channel selector switch, 'nothing; 'foot switch is not connected-'again, the silence is ABSOLUTE, no tiny hum or white noise at all-any input wd B appreciated, I'm a novice troubleshooter, so there's that.....thx, all/Kim

Try pulling the tubes and using a little contact cleaner. Reseat the tubes a couple of times, to allow the solution to clean & work into the contact points.

Hope this helps!

RoHS-compliant solder strikes yet again!

Likely you've got an intermittent solder joint somewhere on one of the boards.

check the 1/4 speaker output jack. my bdri did the same thing one week after i bought it and it turned out to be a bad swichcraft jack. it was the normal one . tech never said what made it go bad, most likely it was how the shorting connection was making contact on the jack(probably bent out of place and it dosent take much). give that a look before you go yanking tubes. arjay could be right too. the solder joints can be a problem. my amp acted just like you are saying, lost sound but didn't go totally dead.
