If your model has the Autobias, then NO it does not need to be rebiased, and your tubes won't even need to be matched. The AUTOBIAS control unit does it for you instantly and automaticaly to the setting you have been using it set to at the back.

Thanks!
Yes I figured that if it was an autobiased that it meant I didnt need to do it myself, but Im wondering if it is, in fact autobiased or not? I was trying not to take the back off. I thought someone here would know off hand.
Ive got a twin in my amp stable, but dont have alot of experience with the super sonic..
Thanks for the reply!

Yes, your amp needs to be biased when you change power tubes.

No, you do not have Autobias in your SS60.

The bias pot is R156.

If you are comfortable working on a powered up amp and have the proper tools, read this thread:

Hey Guitar99, it is a pity that your amp model does not contain the auto bias module, else tube changes would have been a breeze, so Bluesky's advice is spot on and pretty much a given when ever you change a power tube.

Thanks guys! It is what it is.
When I lived in the city, and was more active with touring, I had a guy that did all my amp work...
Guess Im going to have to learn!

Really liking this head though, Anyone ever change out pre amp tubes for different tones?
I did a search but didnt find anything.

Thanks again gentlemen!

No worry about bias when changing preamp tubes, plug and play. Try some different tubes, many of us do this often, whatever model amp. Keep in mind that some tubes might sound best in certain positions.
