The Champion 100 is quite an amp. Loud and clean.

Looks like the FM series has a new name.

I think it's a BIG leap forward from the old Frontman series that the new Champion line has replaced. Same low prices. Better Amps! :D

it does have more features than the FM series. separate fx & eq for each channel on the big model is kind of interesting. also foot switchable. BIG leap?? :|

I have both, they are pretty cool. I play crystal clean with a compressor and the reverb on the amp. That's why I love Fender. My Frontman has had a lot of use in over 3 years and no trouble at all.

Really......!

If you believe that then I've got some war-surplus Iraqi Army rifles to sell you -- never been fired and only dropped once.

I have had a pair Fender Frontman amps and they were decent enough on the clean sounds. I used to put a Digitech GNX2 through both of them in stereo, but the on board amp distortions channel tone was gawd awful to my ears. But with the GNX2 in front of them they sounded great. I sold one and gave the other one to my brother in law. I like tube amps so that is what I use exclusively......

Buy what you want, pilgrim.

Whatever!    I'm just not ever going to be able to reason with ya! You are too stuck and entrenched in the past to accept much newer gear,...and not all of it is going to require repairs,...come on,man,...get with the times! :!: :!: We're just never going to be able to agree on anything, are we?

All the good parts go into the robot that puts those amps together.

Nope. Buy them used at $50 a pop and just bury them when they die.
