Cool!

What did the total parts and labor costs run?

At least we now know that a fix is both possible and available.

Rawk on!

Wow I just posted a detailed write on the Moyer Mods and The John Fromel Electronics co. but got timed out, so I'll be less wordy. The Fromel Basic Kit is $39.95. The Filter Kit is $44.95. Together the kit is called "The Supreme Kit". My amp tech got the flu so all he got done so far was all of the caps. Believe it or not, I had to check to see if it was on. That's odd, but true. I thought that the basic mods such as a negative feedback loop, and cutting the reverb down to channel 1 were absolutely necessary to stop noise. Regardless, mine is silent. When my tech is better he will do all of the steps in the basic kit. After hours of study I would recommended the $79 Supreme kit. All ready my amp is the best sounding Fender reverb combo that I've ever heard. Go to Lucas Miles Electronics and Texas Blues roadhouse for articles on the fix.

I think that your 'Lux is a 1990. I have the same letters "A" & "B" preceding the 6 digits. Those letters put it @ Feb. 1990. So your amp's the same. I checked 2 separate dating code sources. I've seen lotsa mint amps that are over 20 years old. Does your make noise when its turned on a little? If there is, post back. I've made some changes in mine and now she's a different amp. Good luck with it.
