Hey, All...

I know there is not a love out there for the now discontinued Vintage Modified Band-Master and Deluxe. My local GC had the BM and 212 cab for an insane low price, so I jumped on it. I was hoping for something of an Ultimate Chorus Tube Amp, but haven't quite found that tone yet.

All in all, I really like the amp and seem to be liking it more and more. I swapped out the 12AX7s for some NOS Mullard 12AT7s and am pleased with the results. I was wondering about power tubes. I popped in a pair of RCA 6L6GC black plates that I had and was loving the sound until one of them pooped out on me. :( Like I said, I had them in the tube box from another amp. I was wondering if anyone tried the Tung-Sol 5881s? I am looking for new production power tubes as I do not see my plunking down $400 for another pair of RCA black plates.

Also, the cab is pretty sweet. I want to try out some other speakers though. Anyone try the new Creambacks or Jensen Jets?

Just curious if there are any other VM players out there... Maybe we can swap recipes!

Check and adjust tubes bias if you want to save your output tubes. :)
