What do you mean? Maybe you have a different schematic, because on the one that I'm looking at, the mute circuit is clearly activated exactly when switching from Vintage to Burn, from the output of op-amp U5A. I see nothing in the mute circuit that can be activated by the standby switch, as the channel switching and mute circuit is already powered when in standby.

Yep. A good majority of my tones come from my arsenal of pedals. So amp reverb/channels definitely don't make it a deal-breaker for me. Thus it's "perfect for me". Being that this amp has such a great overdrive section however, I'd love to get it working properly if at all possible. Cheers!

That makes as much sense as buying a brand-new premium-priced car whose rear-seat upholstery is trashed and whose spare tire is missing on the ludicrous premise that you don't sit back there and you've never had a flat.

Umm....that's a bit of a stretch and I fail to see the comparison. If anything it's like getting a brand new car (for a great price, mind you) with a busted cruise control setting, lol. A nice feature, but it is certainly not a deal-breaker by any means. At all. Thanks again, lol.

I just opened up the recordings I did with the band a couple days back and measured the gap. It's exactly 67ms. Here's the recording. I'm rhythm guitar in this section of the song. The first part is the full band with the guitar brought up in the mix. The second is just the guitar.

Khaotix, that mute gap is way too long, I think 4 to 6 times longer than it should be. If you knew anything about amp fixing I would try go in and disconnect the mute trigger and see if it is any worse or better.

Hi Shimmi, see if you can follow me here.

Look at the SS22 schematic, Block B6 Bottom has mute control line triggered by Channel switching, and this is recieved by mute circuit at B3 (has
"mute" arrow to indicate connection).

Now looking at SSTwin at B6 Bottom we see same mute control (I suspect this is redundancy). However at B3/4 we have same mute circuit but NO "mute" arrow connection, or any other connection. However the mute circuit Ground Reference comes from "GS2" which is switched on via Standby switch at B2 on POWER SUPPLY/VALVE Diagram.
