I'm not a photo shop guru but I tried to munge a super sonic that I'd like to see Fender offer.

It's basically a single channel ss22. Looking for something just a little bit lighter than the current ss22.

Also wouldn't mind a 12" speaker. Is that getting too much into Mesa Mark territory?

Thanks,

If you don't look to close you won't notice the clumsy cutting and pasting.

Congratulations......you just re-invented the original Super Champ from 1982. That fact that the original offering sold out in no time flat and they still command a hefty price on the secondary market indicates that there is yet a market for the single-channel, cascaded gain stage, low-powered, tube-combo platform. Mesa may have pioneered the genre but there's no reason that Fender couldn't build a credible competitor.

I was going more for a 'modernized' Princeton Reverb but I'll take Super Champ.

In several respects, that's exactly what the Super Champ was.

And the concept is just as viable and marketable now as it was thirty years ago.

Can't argue with that. The Super Champ was closer to the original PR than the PRII of the same era.

I don't think any of those "II" amps really hit their intended mark. By then, Fender's newer customer base had matured beyond the brand and the traditional clientele loathed most of the tampering done to their previously beloved platforms.
