Hello everyone, I have a vibro champ xd amp that i bought new in 2010 A week after i bought my am dx strat. I really love the amp but, It could use little improvement if possible. I changed the chinese 12ax7 to a silvania 12at7 And an oldie but goodie rca 6v6 output tube. It sounds good but, the low end is not all great. Especially with my strat thru it. if i run my epi dot thru it, The low end seems a little i guess you could describe it as farty. (one reason i changed out the pre tube to 12at7) I know that i never will get the low end anywhere near that of my deluxe reverb But, im looking for little more mid-to low end improvement if possible. Would a better speaker remedy the problem possibly? Also, if so,should i try shoehorn a 10 inch speaker into it? or is there a decent 8 inch out there i could replace it with. I love this little amp And, i play the hell out of it. Never had a problem so far. (By the way, The amp had the fartiness even when the original tubes were in it) Thank you for any advice you can offer.

This one has been recommended here before.

Or you can use an external speaker cab, just unplug the internal from the jack and plug in an external. The amp will probably work best with a 4 ohm speaker, but you can use an 8 ohm also.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
