I left this forum months ago. Just checked in today to see if I had any PMs and found this.

IMO, there would be fewer arguments around here if it were a safe place to discuss Fender's line of modern guitar amplifiers. There needs to be somewhere fans can talk about Champions, Vaporizers, Mustangs, SCX2s, etc. without being told we're looking at garbage. Not all of us are interested in buying a lifetime investment piece. For the majority of players, an amp from one of Fender's budget lines will work out just fine.

However, it seems I am in a minority here (or a silent majority), so I've moved on. Other forums have worked out much better for my purposes.

Rudness and snark don't bother me. I get more annoyed by folks politely discussing politics (or other non music related subject) than strong opinions about gear.

Opinions I don't mind but obvious trolling is a distraction. I mean seriously, threads about new Fender amps don't need to be hijacked by some guy jumping in with pics of his $50,000 pile of vintage amps while another posts repetitive self-absorbed crap about some home-built kit. There are other subforums more appropriate for these topics.

The only reason these guys post in the wrong place is because they can't get the attention any other way. It's the same reason they like to bash Fender's new amps. Think about it. They could post all day long the same thoughts in the vintage amp forum and never ruffle any feathers. Why don't they?
