Reading about this Silverface Deluxe Reverb RI, it says it has 'a modified Bassman tone stack'. What's that mean?

Yet to be determined IMO. Is it a 5G6 sans the middle control or perhaps the AB165 stack? Time will tell.

As meaningless as calling the amp a "reissue".

More aptly, these amps rightfully should have been called "Vintage Modified" since they are literally the embodiment of both concepts -- a standard AB763 circuit (ignoring for the purposes of this discussion the modern manufacturing methods) with specific modifications desired by many players. As for the "68" designation, they do resemble the amps of the drip-edge silverface era.

Let's see (and hear) the baby before we go throwing it out with the bath water.

The listed specs from the eBay ad said exactly that, VM series, and as usual, someone adds to the description by calling it a "reissue".

How many times have we seen that before?
