Nothing on Fender's product page......yet.

I suppose I could always make room for another Princeton Reverb or Deluxe Reverb.

But a '67 drip-edge silverface Super Reverb was my very first new Fender amp -- if one of those shows up as a re-issue then it's "Katie bar the door"!

Interesting. Someone local could give the seller Tundra Music in Canada a call and ask about these amps. I've just sent them an email.

Apparently these amps are an exclusive to Tundra Music. There's no mention of them at all on the MF or Sweetwater sites. Curiously, there's nothing here at fender.com either.

Here's the reply from Tundra:

"We just got back from Corona where they demoed them for us. Yesterday was the release date and we are almost sold out! They sound better than the originals!"

I've emailed back to ask why no fanfare from Fender about this range.

The guy at Tundra just got back to me. He doesn't know why Fender hasn't released them yet but says he was given the go-ahead for presales from his sale rep. Says he positive something will "surface in the next day or two".

I would certainly be interested in giving the DR a go if it lives up to the description, especially at the price indicated in their ebay posting (compared with the 65 DRRI, which currently retails in the UK for £1000+).

Vintage Modified Series? If so, not really a "reissue", except in looks only. I don't care for the current VM myself, so are these more of the same type?

Somehow I doubt they are actual re-issues. The channels are titled Custom and Vintage rather than Normal and Vibrato. Seems to me if they were re-issues they would use the period correct labels just like the BF re-issues do. The fact that they don't is a caution flag for me.

We'll see......

I'm still searching for confirmation that this isn't an elaborate hoax.

TGP has nothing new on this.

Someone on TDPRI actually ordered one (page 3):

I believe this is the same Canadian Dealer selling them on eBay. Their advertised as being FSR so they will be limited. Don't know how many Dealers will have them yet. They may not even be available in the US. Not enough info out there yet including from Fender.

Ummm, there's no mention of Tundra in my post? I'm reporting on a Canadian Dealer called L.A. Music, now if these two are the same dealer, OOPS! My Bad.

Ya I read the post, sorry now I even bothered. I was just trying to add some more info to the topic. Besides After some serious consideration on these new amps, I don't think I'm really all that interested in them. I'll just stick with my vintage 68' Fender Amps. After all I've been using these amps all my life and was born way before they were even thought of including the Blackface as well.

You're right, There is no mention of Tundra Music in your posts. However, if you bothered to pay attention to what was going on, you would have seen that the E-bay seller referenced in the original post on TGP was indeed Tundra Music. And no, it is not the same company as LA Music.
