I'm really trying to get into electric guitar, but can't figure out how to get rock or metal settings on the amp. There isn't a good guide on the internet so I'm hoping someone here can give various settings for different genres of music.

The amp has overdrive, gain, treble, and bass.

Hi bob_4444,

The "Gain" knob controls the amount of distortion only when you push in the "OD" (Overdrive) button. With the "OD" button out, you get a cleaner sound and the "Gain" knob has no affect. The "Volume", "Bass" and "Treble" controls work for clean and OD. You are somewhat limited by the amp, both by its size and power, and it is a solid-state amp without much circuitry or control.

In case you don't have a manual:

Thanks for your reply, but many forums have already told me the same. I'd like to know precise settings for each knob recommended for every genre. Unless the amp is not capable of that?

Good gosh man, the knobs are pretty self-explanatory, and there are only four of them.

As I said, you are limited on the sounds that you can get from this particular amp. I would venture a guess that there is no settings sheet or suggestions for various genres of music as there is with other amps. You've basically got a clean sound and a distorted sound, adjust the gain knob for the amount of distortion, and for either channel add bass and treble as desired, that's it.

Metal: Set OD/Clean button to "OD". Set all other controls to 10.

Rock: Set OD/Clean button to "Clean". Set all other controls to 10.

Is that precise enough?
