When the footswitch is connected to the amp, the amp gets stuck un the "Drive"channel. The "Drive" indicator is lit on the amp, and is off on the footswitch, and when i press either the "Drive"switch on the footswitch, or the "Drive"button on the amp, nothing happens.

I replaced the cable with a monster cable 5-pin midi. Now the drive channel, delay and chorus buttons work normally, but the reverb button will not light up when pressed, and the reverb on the amp is off and will not work.

When the footswitch is disconnected everything works fine on the face of the amp.

How many times are you going to post the same thing before trying the suggestions?

You might simply have a poor connection in the pedal or cable to the pedal. Check all solder joints in the pedal closely, and check the cable for broken wires or pins. Next would be to check the foot switch jack inside the amp, for broken solder joint or pin.

I appreciate the input here. I am 50 miles away from my amp (working slob) and have a gig tomorrow so I was hoping someone under these two, separate, older posts may be able to chime in. I don't see that anything was resolved on the 2011 or 2012 posts. I promise not to post anymore until looking at the jack in the amp (which is the only suggestion I haven't tried).

Fortunately for me, my relatively new amp is still under manufacturer's warranty - but that won't help with tomorrow's gig.

Ah, the joys of turning your back on the crowd, to push buttons before a solo......

It seems certain that it's not the amp, but must be either the jack on the amp, or the cable, or the foot switch itself. One way to check is to take your cable and foot switch to try on another amp.
