For those of you wanting to build your own amp but are afraid you don't have the skill or knowledge, here is your solution:

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/search. ... n=ampclass

Bruce has been doing this for years. He gets requests for these workshops. An amp kit with good instructions can be quite a bit cheaper.

This reminds me of something I saw in a car garage.

The $2,500 is a little too rich for my blood, but I think there are several people here who would be interested in taking a hands-on seminar on building a tube amp. .... What do you say, Bill? I think you'd make an excellent instructor. :!:

Cheers!

Sure!

I'll even pay your air fare (North Korean Air) and put you up in the local Motel 5.5, along with a McDonalds gift certificate for $25. I'll provide free local transportation (bicycle built for two). The fee would be only $100 but the kit would cost $10,000.00. E-mail me to sign up.

Or, just read one of my build/mod threads and ask questions for free. :D

I think I'd have a little trouble building that In three days.
You could easily pay $2500 for a fifty watt boutique amp. Hey Bill,
why not market video instruction on amp construction?

You mean like these?

I wish I could build an amp in 10 minutes?

If they were real time, I'd need a good video editor (read: censor), to clean things up.

I have never been able to get the hang of using a hand drill to twist wire together. I have to do it by hand, otherwise, it ends up all kinked and twisted in a bad way.

That's the guy who designed my clone. Rob's a really nice guy.
I did the drill thing and it worked out great. You have to do it slow or you'd probably wind up with a mess. I'm still checking out the Supro Thunderbolt kit. They sell some nice repro cabs and I can get the Supro logo. It would go great with my 63 Supro Martinique.
