I have an Deluxe Reverb "65" reissue and a Hotrod Deville 212. Both my amps produce annoying vibration noise when playing / bending notes at various positions on the neck. Everything appears to be tight, any tips or solutions would be appreciated.

Since it occurs in both amps, I would look more towards the guitar,
patch cord, possibly fluorescent lights things like that.

Are you using any pedals? Maybe a weak battery is the culprit.

I would have to agree. If it is happening with 2 different amps, I would check out everything else.

Isn't it amazing how a sound seems to come from other places?

If the guitar's ok, and if it occurs in the same room, look for things vibrating in the room.

Thanks for the replies.

The vibration occurs with multiple guitars and in multiple rooms. I rubber mounted the power and rectifier tubes in the Deluxe, however, this did not cure the problem with that amp. A friend who is a guitar / amp tech. tested the Deluxe, heard the vibration but could not pinpoint the cause, he told me that this is common with combos . I HOPE NOT!

It could be tube rattle. Play a note and touch your tubes one at a time with a pencil eraser. If it stops when you touch it, it's tube rattle. I use tube dampeners in all my combos because they are more prone to rattledue to the close proximity to the speaker.

Thanks for the tip on tube dampeners.

Rubber o-rings purchased at my local automotive store for around $5.00 eliminated the vibration in both amps.

Thanks again.

Glad it worked out for you. Just be sure the rubber can take the heat.
