I mentioned this in another thread, so now that I have all the pieces, I thought I'd post pics for anyone that may be interested.

Head Cab by Mathers Cab (Nashville, TN; the decals/logos were my doing); 2X12Horizontal slant by Mojotone (http://www.mojotone.com/amp-parts/cabin ... nformation); Cab loaded w/ Eminence Swamp Thang and Wizard. The guitar shown is an Epiphone Wildkat with TVJones filtertron pups.

I found out when dealing with Mojotone that they purchased Lopoline Cab manufacturer around a year ago to serve as their West Coast builder. I live in the East, and this mojo cab shown was shipped from Ca. I have a Lopoline Vertical Slant that I purchased several years back and it too is high quality.

Regarding the speakers, except for the increased volume (higher efficiency), this pair (although nowhere near broken-in) sounds very much like a WGS pairing I have (Retro 30 and Reaper HP). The pairing in the Lopoline is Celestion (V30 and G12H) and I find that pairing to be brighter.

I must say that putting the BJ in a head and playing it through a 2X12 cab with quality speakers, makes a huge difference to my ears. I was going to sell the BJ, but there were no takers...now I'm glad I kept it and altered its form.

Depending on the gig and if there's a PA, that can be a Guitar amp "monitor wedge" pointing back at you, which is what Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers does with his Princetons. Drape a Sennheiser e906 over the top, send to the PA, and you've got tone and reasonable stage volume.

Looks great!

Thanks Shimmilou
Nedorama, I have been using the e609 for years and it is great. I don't know if I'll use the cab as a 'floor monitor' or in the more conventional 'behind you' mode. Have been thinking about it and can't decide. Tomorrow night is the first gig with this cab, so we'll see. Thanks for the positive feedback.
