Hi to all !

I have a FM 100 H (Frontman 212R) with some broken pots. I want to do a full pot replacement as some of the other pots are sticking and I suspect will soon suffer shaft breakage. I suspect the Amp was made in China (not sure what year)

I have the schematic circuit diagram and have opened up the amp to check the pots and have the following

Function Taper Value
Volume B 50k
Treble B 50k
Mid 15A 5k
Bass 15A 50k
Drive 30C 100k
Volume B 100k
Treble 30C 100k
Mid B 50k
Bass 30C 250k
Reverb B 50k

I'm not sure about the taper codings as I assume volume pots should be audio / log type and others linear. I assume from the above A is linear, B is log and C is reverse log - but only guessing really. Don't know what the numerics in the taper code mean yet i.e. 15A, 30C but trying to google!

Can any body advise the correct characteristic for each pot. My next problem will be to find matching equivalents , but I'll get to that later. My current understanding is limited but rapidly expanding

thanks in advance :D

You'll find a pretty broad selection of amp pots here......

http://www.darrenriley.com/FenderAmpParts.htm

The Fender P/N's are also listed which should allow you to correlate the specific applications, assuming you have your amp's schematic and the P/N's are listed on it.

Thanks for the reply - will search that website.

Problem is that the schematic I have only gives pot values, don't have the part numbers listed - but still searching

cheers
