If by versatile you mean hundreds of knobs and switches to flip and turn to dial in that "perfect" sound, then I'd say Mesa. If your referring to a simpler one volume one tone knob amp, then a Fender champ.
If you happen to own an air guitar, Bluesky's suggestion would fit the bill perfectly.

Seriously, though, this is nowhere near enough information to make a recommendation. We need to know the type of music you play, if you prefer tubes or solid state, what sort of features you want, head/cab or combo, etc. Once you have all that figured out, come back and ask your question again.

Every one of these amps can be extremely versatile depending on what I want them to do:

Wouldn't you know it, the one that I had in mind is just out of range at 38 lbs. Crap!

I'm guessing that the Super Six Reverb has also been disqualified.

(the world's only combo amp requiring a two-man lift to load and transport)

I don't know, the Quad Reverb wasn't a "One Man Operation" either :!: :!:

I see the OP has edited his question. Still to vague to waste any more time with.

Since I got this, I stopped worrying about how heavy the amps were...

I see there is no question mark either. :?:
This is a morbid curiosity thread for me.

37.5 pounds. .5 pounds. One half of a pound. 38 pounds is too heavy.

To the OP. SCX2 weighs 24 pounds. I nominate it as a candidate. I own one and and love it. Of course, it's not a real tube amp. The 12ax7 and 2 6V6's are just in there to make it seem like a tube amp. :D
Probably some class D SS power amp hiding in there.
