We all have opinions of fat sound. I've heard and tried Blues Jrs. With all kinds of speakers and mods and nothing sounds as good as a good extension cab. Same with the Pro jr and the Champion as well as my 74 Champ. Jamming a big speaker in a small box just doesn't sound anything but boxy. Just my opinion ymmv

I have to agree with this, at least in the case of the BJ. I do have a solid state Princeton 650 with a Celestion in it. It's exactly the same physical size as the BJ as the BJ's cover fits it perfectly. The Princeton 650 sounds good, however, as solid state amps go.
