Just brought home my first ever tube amp yesterday :)

I shiny new DRRI. It sounds amazing! However, I have noticed two issues so far. The first one was what seemed to be a short in the foot switch. Wiggling the cord connecting the switch would make the Reverb come in and out. After reading a bit on the forums, I see this is a common problem.

I took the switch back, and got a new one that seems to work perfectly. However, I have noticed another issue now - even when the reverb is engaged, sometimes there is no reverb. You can tell it's engaged by a volume difference and a bit more noise, but even with the Reverb knob all the way at 10, there is no reverb.

Picking the amp up and placing it back down (gently, but with enough force to vibrate the springs) sometimes makes the reverb start working again - so most likely a loose wire or connector.

Is this common with the reverb unit? I have plenty of time to take it back and exchange it for a new one if needed, but that's probably not necessary if I can figure out what is causing the intermittent reverb.

Likely a bad reverb tank or a tube not seated firmly in its socket. Check V3 and V4 -- if these tubes are loose, gently push them down until the base of the glass envelopes contacts the socket. If that doesn't cure the issue, return the amp for exchange or refund.
